The Visitor
Centre is a Mennonite interpretation centre. It is designed to help
visitors understand some unique aspects of Mennonite history, lifestyle
and beliefs. You are led
on a multi-media journey into the Mennonite story. The journey begins
with a 15 minute documentary video "Mennonites of Ontario,"
which was produced especially for visitors to this area. Also included
are photos, narrations, slide presentations, lighted displays, replicas
of a Swiss cave and a Mennonite Meetinghouse, the type still used by the
Old Order Mennonites. The presentation
encourages participants to reflect on their own heritage and values. Several other videos about Mennonites may be seen by appointment: When They Shall Ask, Hazels People, The Amish, The Hutterites, The Radicals. Hours:
Admission by donation, group visits may be arranged by appointment. Group rate includes guided tour: $3.00 Adults * $2.00 Students. |
